Las Vegas is located in the Mojave Desert and is the most populous city in the state of Nevada. Vegas is known for the gaming industry, shopping and entertainment. It is billed as “The Entertainment Capital of the World” and is famous for the large number of casino resorts and their entertainment shows located on “The Strip”. Vegas was first established in 1905 and officially became a city in 1911.
